This mountain leader course in Snowdonia is ideal if you want climbing training to take out groups. Go mountaineering with a guide who can teach you how to pass the ML awards with flying colours.
All rock climbers aspire to lead for themselves. This comprehensive course will give the experienced second and those with limited experience of leading, the skills, experience and judgement required to do so commensurate with their current rock climbing ability.
The aim of the course will be to climb as much as possible, firstly on single pitch then multi-pitch routes. Concurrently you will be taught and coached in the new skills; placing protection, belay systems, building belays, rope management, leading with single and double ropes, stance management, abseil organisation, route selection and route finding. The course duration will allow skill aquisition and then more importantly, consolidation of these skills so you can feel confident in your ability to lead climb across a wide range of scenarios.
5 days outdoor instruction on lead climbing skills and techniques.
Previous outdoor rock climbing experience required.
Instructor will collect and return clients from accommodation daily
Included - instruction & coaching, loan of technical equipment, 3rd Party Liability Insurance, transport daily between accommodation and venues.
Excluded - accommodation, food, transport to and from Snowdonia.
