Take a one day canoeing trip down the beautiful Thames River from Thames Valley Park in Reading to the River and Rowing Museum in Henley. The canoeing expedition is run by a qualified instructor. Go through the locks at Sonning, Shiplake and Marsh Lock. You can also take a kayak trip.
This is a one day trip down the beautiful River Thames from Thames Valley Park in Reading to the River and Rowing Museum in Henley. This is a tour lead by a qualified instructor who knows this stretch of the river well. They will guide you along the river where you will have a chance to see the wildlife and go through the locks at Sonning, Shiplake and Marsh Lock. You can travel in either a one person kayak or in a canoe with 1-3 people with you. It is quite a long way so some level of fitness is required to propel yourself along the way (the flow will be with you though to help out!). We will stop somewhere along the route for a picnic, here are plenty of sunny spots in which to have a rest and a bite to eat.
We will meet in the car park at Thames Valley Park in Reading and finish at the River and Rowing Museum in Henley
All equipment is included; boats, paddles and bouyancy aids. We do not provide any waterproof bags so please be aware that the things you bring may get wet.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and over 8 years of age.
