This canoeing day is a great way to explore the waters of Lake Windermere. By canoeing The Lakes you see plenty of wildlife, whilst the Kelly Kettle Stove is on hand to make a hot drink on your break.
In large, open Canoes we paddle to a remote beach, where you can enjoy the delights of the Lake District and it's mountainous back drop away from all the other tourists. Whilst we have a break, there is the opportunity to make a hot drink using a Kelly Kettle. Kelly Kettles are portable 'outdoor kettles' that boil water extremely quickly using an environmentally friendly fire in the base. They are a good piece of oudoor equipment to be introduced to as they're very quick and efficient plus have the fun of making fires! It is a good opportunity to practise your fire starting skills and to introduce children into fire lighting whilst with an experienced instructor.
We meet you 15 minutes before the activity to get kitted up. We will provide all technical kit for the session. Once everyone is dressed apprpriately in warm clothes, waterproofs and buoyancy aid we get onto the Lake and begin the activity!
