Archery in the UK is a growing sport and with this archery course in Bassenthwaite, Lake District you will soon be raising your bow and arrow to hit the targets! This is an instructor led archery lesson where you will be fully guided.
Archery, target shooting.
During a session with us we will introduce you to this competitive sport, where you can find out who has a steady hand and keen eye and the ability to hit gold. The session will start with how to safely use the equipment and when to retrieve arrows, then it will be over to you to have a go, with our instructors on hand to help you get the most out of the session.
Our archery sessions are run outdoors in a Lake District Farmer's field.
England has a long history of archery with many famous battles and folklore hero’s, Archery was a traditional activity practiced by Kings & Queens and common folk alike, Archery has historically been used in hunting and combat, but now is an Olympic Sport, aiming for the gold!

Meet at the venue
10 to 15 minute brief, on range safety, equipment and bow handling.
Target challenges, archery games. Up to 2 hours.
Packing up. Bow dismantling etc.

None needed- all levels are welcome.
We provide all of the acivity specific equipment for your session with us.
You will need to bring good outdoor footwear and element friendly clothing. ( waterproofs)
Please remember that cotton clothing is not the most practical outdoor wear. (Jeans etc)
Local car parking is available, but please remember that most parking facilities charge a fee.
